The Welder and The Last Job
Musa was the best welder in the yard. But work had dried up for 2 months.
Rent was due. Food was low. His welding machine was even coughing.
One evening, an old man came to the shop.
"Young man, can you weld this cracked plate for me? It's for my water tank."
Musa looked at it. Big crack. Dirty metal. And the man only had 2k.
Other welders said "No be waste of time."
But Musa remembered his master’s words: _“Treat every job like it’s for your father.”_
He cleaned the plate properly. Beveled the edges. Preheated it.
Ran clean beads. Ground it smooth. Tested it with water. No leak.
The man paid the 2k and left with “God bless you, my son.”
One week later, 3 big trucks pulled up at Musa’s shop.
It was the old man’s sons. They own a construction company.
"We heard about the welder who fixed daddy’s tank like new.
We have 50 water tanks that need fabrication. Can you handle it?"
Musa dropped his hammer.
That “small 2k job” was his interview.
He’s not struggling again.
_Sometimes the job that pays least is the one that promotes you most._
