Why Web3?

Have you ever asked why?
Or you already know why?
I'm just curious tho.

Because a lot of people have been blinded by the money and liquidity Web3 seems to offer.

This alone I've made them too lazy to sit back and ask, “Why Web3”

It might also be useless for a lot of people on here to think of understanding “why”.
But I don't think that's good tho.

I’ve been thinking about it lately.
Like, fr, “Why Web3”

We’re all out here building pages, growing communities, dropping content consistently.

But the second the algorithm shifts, or a social media platform changes the rules, everything slows down or probably disappears.

I'm not even talking about the fact that we are not really earning on here, except for the monetized creators.

And it’s wild how normal that feels.
But we are still pushing regardless

We don’t question why it happens that way.
We'll just adjust for the second time.
We continue posting and hoping.

Well.
All of these we are facing are just stories behind Web2.
And this is what Web3 is trying to fix.

The fix won't happen magically but it will make you see the internet with a different lens entirely.

If we talk about an internet
⤷where your work stays yours.
⤷where your audience moves with you and not stuck on one app.
⤷where your time, effort, and creativity don’t just feed a platform’s growth,
but actually come back to you.
…In value. In ownership. In power.

That's when we are talking “Web3”
And trust me, there are a lot more in it.😊

It’s actually not perfect tho, before you come at me.
I wouldn't even say it’s fully there yet.
But it matters.

Understanding this as a newbie, will help you build better and grow intentionally.

It will help you stay grounded rather than chase the noise in here.

Unless the noise is for you, oh no don't even bother.😉

So ask yourself,
Are we already “doing web3” like you say you do or we are just here?

Do you even know what a dApp is?

Or maybe I should mind my business💔😭
