### *The Painter and The Cracked Canvas*

There was a young girl named Tolu. She was an *art student*. She loved painting but life kept breaking her.

First test: Her dad lost his job.
Second test: She failed JAMB.
Third test: Her best friend betrayed her.

One day she went to her church and sat at the back, angry.
_"God, why are you testing me like this? My canvas is ruined."_

After service, Mama Church called her.
_"Tolu, can you paint something for the youth theme: Tests of Restoration?"_

Tolu almost said no. But she went home and stared at a cracked canvas she had thrown away.

That night she had a dream.
She saw Jesus holding a brush. He didn’t throw the cracked canvas away.
He filled the cracks with gold. Then He painted a new picture on top of it.
More beautiful than the first one.

She woke up and remembered: *Kintsugi* — the Japanese art of repairing broken things with gold.
The cracks don’t disappear. They become part of the beauty.

Tolu painted it. A girl with cracks filled with gold light.
Title: _"Tests of Restoration"_

On Sunday she explained it:
_"Psychology says we get trauma. Sociology says society breaks us.
But Jesus says He can restore us. The test is not to destroy you.
It’s to show that God’s gold can make your broken places shine."_

That day 3 people gave their lives to Christ.
One boy said: _"I thought my life was too cracked. Now I see God can use it."_

### *The 3 Lessons from the Story*
1. *Conscience Test* - Like John 8, the test exposes what’s inside us first
2. *Psychology Test* - God wants to heal your mind - Romans 12:2
3. *Art Test* - God is the greatest Artist. He doesn’t waste your pain. He restores it - Joel 2:25

*Memory Verse:*
`Psalm 147:3` - _"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."_
