Emma couldnβt escape the echo of Adrianβs words. That night, she opened her notebook as if it had transformed into something dangerous. Every sentence felt alive, pulsing with the same heat she had felt under his gaze. The fantasies she had once written in secretβabout strangers becoming lovers, about surrendering controlβno longer belonged only to her imagination. The following evening, she returned to the cafΓ©. This time, Adrian was already there, waiting. His presence pulled her in like gravity. Without a word, he slid the notebook across the table. Emma reached for it, but his hand covered the leather cover, holding it just out of reach.
